Energy, Water and Waste

LBA Realty partners with the EPA’S ENERGY STAR® program in order to benchmark our building performance for energy, water, and waste and uses this information to assess opportunities for improvement. LBA is proud to have received the 2019 and 2020 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for outstanding efforts in energy management recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Energy. The national award is presented to ENERGY STAR partner businesses and organizations that demonstrate superior leadership, innovation, and commitment to environmental protection through energy efficiency and ENERGY STAR. As a result, you work in a building that runs more efficiently, costs less and reduces our carbon footprint.

LBA Realty actively identifies ways to improve water efficiency throughout our portfolio. How can you manage what you don’t measure? We make water a priority by benchmarking and tracking water performance and making adjustments where needed. We install drought tolerant plant materials, as well as drip irrigation to reduce water consumption. We educate our stakeholders on water conservation efforts and what they can do to conserve water and report leaks.

LBA Realty is committed to reducing waste, reusing material and implementing recycling programs at our buildings. LBA has partnered with a third-party service provider to actively monitor and audit our service levels to improve diversion rates. We have made it a priority to educate our employees and tenants on how to reduce waste and properly recycle different materials at our buildings.
